Throughout lockdowns our competitive swimmers are encouraged to participate in online fitness training sessions run by our MLC Aquatic Coaches and MLC Swimming Instructors. Our sessions focus on cardio fitness and developing different muscle groups to keep our swimmers fit and engaged in their programs. Some of our groups also participate in Wellness Wednesday activities and Fun Friday to ensure they are staying healthy and happy through this difficult period of time. We have received great feedback from Swimmers and Families:

Oliver Mackenzie - National Performance

Personally I feel like the online dry-land has really helped me stay connected to my teammates and taking part in the online dry-land sessions in the mornings gives me a boost of energy to go through the day which helps me to stay on-top of my schoolwork and do my best to stay fit and healthy.

Stella Salomone - National Squad

I really enjoy MLC Aquatics Dryland training as it is a great way to get together with your friends whilst working out. It is a good way to connect, stay motivated and keep some sort of routine during lockdown. At the start you might not feel very motivated but by the end you always feel good as you have accomplished something physically and mentally. Of course, home dryland doesn’t beat being in the pool with your friends but it sure is great to see familiar faces and have a chat whilst keeping physically active.

Nelly Peat - National Squad

I’m really enjoying the online dryland programme. It’s a great way to keep in touch with everyone in the squad. It’s also really good discipline, getting us up in the morning and a great way to start the day in lockdown. It gives some structure to the day, a good way to feel productive.

Harry Hay - Senior State Squad

Online dryland is a fun way to see friends in a covid safe way and get some exercise in.

Katelyn O'keefe - Senior State Squad

Online dryland has been a really good way for me to keep active and get something out of the day. It’s been good to hear about what everyone else is up to and to have some sort of contact with them all.

Alex Stone - Senior State Squad

MLC Aquatic Dryland, is helping me stay swimming fit during lockdown. As well as keeping in touch and working with fellow squad mates.

Noah- Development Squad

Dry land is a great way to maintain fitness over lockdown, and also to see everyone from squad each day!

Annabelle- Junior Squad

‚ÄčI love how we do something different each day in training, and I look forward to it each afternoon as it’s a great way to end the day!
